Slitting is a metal manufacturing process which is used to cut a wide coil of metal into a number of narrower coils. The wide coils are moved through extremely sharp circular knives, making the cuts. These knives can be arranged in a sequence to make narrower coils of different widths as per the requirement.
Cut To Length is a process in which steel coils are uncoiled and fed through a shear blade for length wise cutting into required lengths with precise tolerances. Levellers and straighteners are installed after the uncoiler and before the shear for shape corrections and flattening of the sheets.
Packing of finished material is given similar importance as processing of material to ensure the material reaches the customer without any handling and transit damages. Bheeshma Metals also provides customized packing solutions based on the requirements.
